"Ask a Journalist": Edit Like a Pro with The OpEd Project

November 10th, 5:00-5:45 EST

Get invaluable feedback on how to make your op-ed drafts extra powerful and persuasive

This is a live 45-minute session with a Master Editor who will review the structural elements of an op-ed, live edit a few drafts (chosen from among those you submit) and answer your questions about form, content, and anything else writing-related. As they work, our Master Editor will also offer strategic thinking on where and how they might pitch each piece.

Whether or not your op-ed is selected, you will get extremely useful insights into how a professional editor/journalist works and thinks, that will be immediately applicable.

The story we tell becomes the world we live in. The OpEd Project aims to elevate our community during this challenging and unprecedented time. We hope you will join us.

To continue to fulfill our mission, we are offering this resource to all human beings across all identities and positions, and regardless of means, on a "pay what you can" model, for fast and immediate tips on amplifying and elevating your ideas and voice. An email with a link and password to the session will be sent upon completion of registration.

About Us

The OpEd Project is a think tank and leadership organization that accelerates the ideas and impact of underrepresented voices, including women. We are a community of journalists and thought leaders who actively share knowledge, resources and connections across color, creed, class, sexuality, gender and beyond. We have been featured in most major media. We have stunning results. We believe the best ideas, regardless of where they come from, should have a chance to be heard and change the world.
