Teresa Puente teaches journalism at California State University, Long Beach, and served as the opinion editor at CALÓ NEWS. A former reporter at The Chicago Tribune and member of The Chicago Sun-Times editorial board, Teresa has published in Time, Newsweek, The Guardian, and received the Studs Terkel Award from Community Media Workshop. Teresa has been a Fellowship Coach with The OpEd Project since 2012.
