Teresa Puente teaches journalism at California State University, Long Beach, and is the opinion editor at CALÓ NEWS. A former reporter at the Chicago Tribune and member of the Chicago Sun-Times editorial board, Teresa has published in TIME, Newsweek, The Guardian, and received the Studs Terkel Award from Community Media Workshop. Teresa has been a Fellowship Coach with The OpEd Project since 2012.
