Tanyanika Samuels leads the media relations department at American Jewish World Service. She previously served as a senior speechwriter and a communications director in the NYC Mayor’s Office. She spent two decades as a journalist, with articles appearing in The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Kansas City Star, New York Daily News and The Wall Street Journal. She currently partners with grassroots activists in the Global South to write and place op-eds in major US media outlets.
