Tanyanika Samuels  leads the media relations department at American Jewish World Service. She previously served as a senior speechwriter and a communications director in the NYC Mayor’s Office. She spent two decades as a journalist, with articles appearing in The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Kansas City Star, New York Daily News and The Wall Street Journal. She has been an OpEd Project Mentor-Editor since 2016, and joined our team of Fellowship Coaches in 2025.
