Patricia Guadalupe was raised in Puerto Rico. She is a bilingual multimedia journalist based in Washington, D.C., and an adjunct professor at American University's School of Communication and with the Washington semester program at Florida International University. She is a regular contributor to Latino Magazine and NBC News' online vertical NBC Latino. She was the founding Washington correspondent for WKAQ Radio in San Juan, National Public Radio's Latino USA, and Radio Bilingüe, the first Spanish-language news network on public radio in the U.S.
