Njeri Mathis Rutledge is a law professor at South Texas College of Law Houston and an Opinion Columnist for USA Today. Njeri has published in The Hill, BET, and Houston Public Media, and has given interviews with CBS, NBC, MSNBC and local media. A former criminal prosecutor and judge, she is a graduate of Spelman College and Harvard Law School. Njeri joined The OpEd Project in 2021 as a Fellowship Coach.
