Fordham University

Public Voices Fellowship

FORDHAM piloted our Public Voices Fellowship pilot in December 2011 and had 70 major successes: scholars published everywhere from CNN to The Christian Science Monitor to Ms. Magazine.   Christina Greer was on CNBC discussing Mitt Romney and the GOP Florida primary; after writing her op-ed on the needs of elderly prisoners, Tina Maschi was contacted by Voice of America to give an in-depth interview on the subject; and six of our scholars launched The Huffington Post’s new video series ‘The Moment I Knew.’ We also saw collaboration from scholars across institutions. Two literature professors from our Fordham and Princeton Fellowship cohorts met and collaborated on an op-ed just after the release of the sensational e-book  Fifty Shades of Grey for CNN.
