In this experimental 8-week studio -- designed for women experts across nonprofit, corporate, academic, and public sectors -- you will reshape your ideas across media platforms, under the guidance of the nation's top editors, columnists, bloggers and producers from The New York Times Magazine to major book publishing houses to NPR to a top social media guru. We'll make sense of the full spectrum of traditional and new media and challenge you to hone your ideas in new, more powerful/useful ways - in print, online, via social media, for video, audio and live events. Each session will follow OpEd Project principles of high-intensity interaction, thought experiments, mentorship, hands-on exercises, structured brainstorming and practice sessions. High-level professionals will give you inside information about how the game is changing, how media gatekeepers think, what they want, when to go around them—and how your ideas can change the world. You'll emerge from the seminar with at least one powerful pitch, proposal, or presentation, join (or expand your ties to!) our dynamic OpEd Project community and claim your space as a thought leader.
